The brand new Kia Venga: Small is beautiful
Offering family space in just four metres of car, the Venga starts at £11,495. Built exclusively for Europe and designed from scratch by Kia’s Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer, the Venga brings sensational good looks and fun-to-drive character to the B-segment market. Proving cleverly versatile, the Venga has perfected the art of turning every millimetre of its interior into passenger and luggage space with easily folding and sliding rear seats and hidden compartments. The Venga is clean, quiet and fuel-efficient, with the diesel EcoDynamics version emitting just 117g/km of CO2.
All models are well equipped with every Venga coming with air conditioning, driver's seat height adjustment, electric front windows, remote central locking and tinted glass. In-car entertainment is taken care of by a high-quality six-speaker audio system with full MP3 compatibility. For safety and security, all Vengas have six airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Brake Assist (BAS) and Traction Control (TC). Venga 2 models add 16-inch alloy wheels, body coloured electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, an iPod cable and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. With a focus on sleek design, better road manners and more flexibility, the new Kia Sorento starts at £20,495. The Sorento takes into consideration the consumer demands on an SUV; urban sophistication with design quality that can withstand anything from transporting family to towing horses. With more efficient, cleaner engines, the new Sorento offers both two and four-wheel drive and options in five or seven seat versions. Benefiting from improved capacity for passengers as well as luggage, the new Sorento is the third Kia, after the cee'd and Soul, to be awarded a full five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. All models are fitted with anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) as well as Electronic Stability Control (ESC) featuring Downhill Brake Control (DBC). Six airbags (twin front, side and side curtains) are standard.
New diesel and petrol engines, new six-speed transmissions and the choice of front- or four-wheel drive mean there is a Sorento to suit all types of use while keeping fuel consumption and emissions low – good news for both pockets and the environment.
